The Spinifex Spree Carnival is being held on Friday 22 July and Saturday 23 July at the Town Oval in Port Hedland, providing fun-filled entertainment for the whole family to enjoy.

The event will offer a variety of entertainment options, including side show alley rides for all levels of thrill seekers to brave, dynamic and interactive family activities, live performances including musicians, food vendors, an interactive vehicle and machinery exhibit, commercial and community group stallholders and more.

This event is made possible by Presenting Partner BHP; Platinum Sponsor Horizon Power and Supporters AUS Traffic Management, CCB Transport, Cleanaway, Fuelfix, Onsite Rental Group, the North West Telegraph and SCA.

With COVID-19 in the community, patrons are reminded to please follow good hygiene practices, maintain social distance where possible and not to attend if unwell.

Prospective stallholders and vehicle and machinery exhibitors are requested to apply via the Town’s website, with food vendors in particular encouraged to apply by Friday 3 June to be considered for the event.

Mayor Peter Carter welcomes the return of Hedland’s largest free community event on the calendar.

“It’s great to see the return of Spinifex Spree this July, a popular event run since 1968 as the premier carnival event on the Hedland calendar.”

“We’ll have all your favourites to look forward to, including rides, show bags, musicians, performances and lots more, along with new activities like the vehicle and machinery exhibit.”

“I’d like to thank Presenting Partner BHP; Platinum Sponsor Horizon Power and all our supporters for making this event possible.”

Spinifex Spree Carnival is being held on Friday 22 July from 5.00pm to 9.00pm and on Saturday 23 July from 11.00am to 10.00pm.
