Audit, Risk and Improvement Committee

Pursuant to section 5.8 of the Local Government Act 1995, the Audit, Risk and Improvement Committee was established as a committee of Council, to operate in accordance with Part 7 of the Act.

Membership

The Audit, Risk and Improvement Committee comprises of the following Elected Members:

  • Mayor Jacinta Behrend
  • Cr Sharon Todd
  • Cr Russell McDowall
  • Deputy Mayor Troy Melville (Deputy Member)
  • Independent Presiding Member
  • Independent Deputy Presiding Member
  • Independent Member (Deputy to Presiding Member)

Notice of Chief Executive Officer Recruitment and Selection Committee meeting

The Town of Port Hedland wishes to advise a Chief Executive Officer Recruitment and Selection Committee meeting has been called for Tuesday 20 January 2026 at 10.00am, to consider a recommendation to Council for the appointment of a Chief Executive Officer and related matters.

As this is a confidential item, the consideration of this item is closed to members of the public pursuant to the Local Government Act 1995.

The Chief Executive Officer Recruitment and Selection Committee meeting will be held in Council Chambers (Civic Centre, McGregor Street, Port Hedland) by electronic means.
