Audit, Risk and Improvement Committee

Pursuant to section 5.8 of the Local Government Act 1995, the Audit, Risk and Improvement Committee was established as a committee of Council, to operate in accordance with Part 7 of the Act.

Membership

The Audit, Risk and Improvement Committee comprises of the following Elected Members:

  • Mayor Jacinta Behrend
  • Cr Sharon Todd
  • Cr Russell McDowall
  • Deputy Mayor Troy Melville (Deputy Member)
  • Independent Presiding Member
  • Independent Deputy Presiding Member
  • Independent Member (Deputy to Presiding Member)

Chief Executive Officer Performance Review Committee

The Chief Executive Officer Performance Review Committee (CEOPRC) is established by Council under section 5.8 of the Local Government Act 1995. 

The Town of Port Hedland wishes to advise a Chief Executive Officer Performance Review Committee Meeting has been called for Wednesday, 9 September 2026 at 4:00pm.

As this is a confidential item, the consideration of this item is closed to members of the public pursuant to Section 5.23(2)(b)(ii) of the Local Government Act 1995.

Chief Executive Officer Performance Review Committee Terms of Reference

Membership

The CEOPRC comprises of the following Council appointed Members:

  • Mayor Jacinta Behrend (Presiding Member, appointed by default)
  • Deputy Mayor Troy Melville
  • Councillor Jemma Scott
  • Councillor Lorraine Butson

Additionally, an Independent Observer, who is not a member of the committee, may be appointed by Council to observe and monitor the performance review process.
