The Town of Port Hedland and BHP Present the Sunset Food Markets
The markets are held at West End's Marapikurrinya Park and feature food vendors, family friendly activities, live music by local acoustic musicians and a market bar.
The event series is presented by the Town of Port Hedland and BHP and the event is managed by PPP Events.
The markets are held under ambient festoon lighting in the park, providing visitors with the opportunity to enjoy a selection of delicious food options as the ships go by in the port.
Join us for a special Volunteer Week edition of the Sunset Food Markets on Friday 22 August. The event is designed to recognise the outstanding contribution our volunteers make in selflessly serving the Hedland community.

Mr Widdy
David Clarke, known by his stage name Mr. Widdy, is a proud Yawuru, Nyul Nyul, and Yamatji man from Port Hedland/Marapikurrinya (Kariyarra Country). With a voice that blends the soft grace of gentle rain with the warmth and strength of red dirt country, Mr. Widdy’s music is an invitation to enter a world of sincerity, vulnerability, and artistic beauty.
Known for his original songs and thoughtful covers, Mr. Widdy creates a generous space with his music, often blending indie-folk acoustic guitar with his gorgeous vocals. His sound evokes a strong sense of place, a reflection of his deep connection to his cultural roots and his journey as a queer BIPOC artist in the city of Boorloo (Perth).
