The Town of Port Hedland and BHP Present the Sunset Food Markets.  

The markets are held at West End’s Marapikurrinya Park and will feature food vendors, family friendly activities, live music and a market bar. The markets are held under ambient festoon lighting in the park, providing visitors with the opportunity to enjoy a selection of delicious food options as the ships go by in the port. Join us on Friday 21 August.

Red Coast Duo

Based right here in Port Hedland, Red Coast Duo, Courtney and Mon, met over a shared love of music, harmonies and a good laugh, and have been playing together ever since. Blending their voices, piano and acoustic guitar, they bring their own relaxed, feel-good style to a mix of favourites. 

Darc

Darc is a Port Hedland-based singer-songwriter whose music fuses country storytelling with rock-reggae influences. Through songs inspired by faith, adventure, resilience and life's challenges, he delivers authentic, heartfelt performances that connect with audiences of all ages.

Little Loves Face Painting

Transform into your favourite character, animal or superhero with colourful face painting fun for the kids.

Maker Space

Get Creative at this month's Makers Space run by HARTZ. 

Turn recycled glass jars into playful, sculptural vases using ultra-light air-dry clay.

Where are the markets?

The Sunset Food Markets will be run at Port Hedland's Marapikurrinya Park, located at 4 Richardson Street.

 

 

Will the markets impact parking in the area?

 Yes, the Marapikurrinya Park car park (below) will be closed from 9pm the day prior to each market to 12 midnight on the days the markets are held.

 

 

 

Accessibility 

How much does it cost to attend?

Entry into the Sunset Food Markets is free, however the cost of food and drinks is determined by food vendor operators.

Can I trade at this event?

Yes! There are opportunities to trade, as well as fundraise, at the events. 

Interested food vendors and musicians are asked to contact: events@porthedland.wa.gov.au to get involved with the event.

Accessibility 

Q: Is there accessible parking for the event?

A: There will be accessible parking available on Richardson Street for the event, which can be identified via onsite signage or as per the event map.

Q: Are there Assisted Listening Devices available to help experience musical performances?

A: Yes, assisted listening devices can be borrowed from the Info Desk, location as per the event map.

Q: Is the event accessible for wheelchairs and prams?

A: The event is accessible for wheelchairs and prams, with continuous footpath access throughout the event.

Q: Does the event have sufficient seating?

A: There is a variety of seating options available throughout the event.

Q: Is there accessible toilets at the event?

A: Left-hand accessible, right-hand accessible and ambulant toilet facilities are available at the event, as per the event map.
