Applications for the 2027 Shape Your Future program are now open

Whether you’re a school leaver, starting your career or looking for a new direction, the Town of Port Hedland’s Shape Your Future program gives you the opportunity to earn while you learn, gain practical workplace experience and work towards a nationally recognised qualification.

The 2027 intake offers traineeships across Waste Services, Horticulture, Community Services, Governance and Human Resources.

Through the program, you’ll develop practical skills while working alongside experienced Town employees and contributing to services that make a real difference to the Hedland community.

Trainee roles available in: 

  • Waste Services Trainee (Cert III Local Government)
  • Horticulture Trainee (Cert III Horticulture)
  • Community Services Trainee (Cert III Local Government)
  • Human Resources Trainee (Cert IV Human Resources)
  • Governance Trainee (Cert III Local Government)
