Cash for trash

The Cash for Trash grant enables local community and not for profit organisations to do litter clean-ups throughout the Town and raise funds to go towards fundraising initiatives.

This grant is to encourage community pride and participation whilst providing a fundraising opportunity to local community groups, sporting groups and not-for-profit organisations. 

The Town of Port Hedland will provide gloves, collection bags and litter pickers, hi-vis vests, and sharps containers to assist with the clean-up.

Requirements

Must be based in the Town of Port Hedland Local Government area.

Must comply with the safety guidelines provided.

Must fill a minimum quantity of 15 bags per fundraising grant. 

Waste bags must be weighed at the land fill (over the bridge).

$10.00 per bag up to $2,000 per clean up
