Got some gardening plans? Pick up some free mulch from the South Hedland landfill facility!
Residents can self-load mulch into their ute/trailer at any time during South Hedland landfill opening hours:
- Monday to Friday - 7:30am to 4:30pm
- Saturday - 8:00am to 4:00pm
- Sunday - 8:00am to 12:00pm
If you would prefer to have the mulch loaded for you, please visit on a Saturday or Sunday morning between 8:00am - 12:00pm.
The South Hedland Landfill is located at the end of North Circular Road. Enter the facility via the weighbridge, follow signage and the directions from on-site staff. Please cover your load before leaving the site.
Contractors can collect the free mulch on behalf of the resident/rate-payer, provided a residential address details are provided.
Commercial businesses are able to purchase mulch.

- Whilst every effort is made to ensure weeds and other contaminants are not present, the Town cannot guarantee the quality of the mulch.
