Collaboration and childcare grant applications now open

Published on Friday, 21 October 2022 at 3:24:03 PM

Community groups, not-for-profit and childcare organisations are reminded applications are currently open for two Town of Port Hedland grants schemes.

Town of Port Hedland Acting Chief Executive Officer, Craig Watts, said the Town was committed to providing support to foster improved service delivery in Port Hedland.

“Helping deliver improved services benefits our whole community so I would encourage any interested group or individual to apply for one of these grants,” Mr Watts said.

The Community Collaboration Grant offers not-for-profit organisations an opportunity to apply for up to $10,000. It is one of the largest annual grant rounds available from the Town’s Community Grants Program.

The scheme aims to build collaboration between community groups to identify and address gaps in service provision and promote cultural understanding and community education.

Applications which include contributions from applicants are encouraged and will have higher priority than those seeking 100% of project costs. Applications close on 31 October 2022.

The Town’s Annual Community Childcare Grant offers up to $5,000 to support childcare organisations to design, implement and complete projects that respond to childcare issues in Port Hedland.

Organisations, businesses or individuals who are needing support in planning a childcare project to attract and retain regional childcare workers are encouraged to apply. Applications are open until 14 November 2022.
