March Against Family Violence Next Friday

Hedland will be coming together next Friday, 23 November to stand up and say domestic and family violence will not be tolerated in our community.

The Annual Hedland Violence March will take place in South Hedland, commencing at Centenary Park on Leake Street from 7am.

Community Groups and Organisations will be rallying together to help spread the message of White Ribbon Day, the national campaign to prevent men’s violence against women.

Formal speeches will occur at 8am following the march around the block, with a barbecue breakfast served afterwards for attendees.

The morning’s events will conclude at 10am.

Please be advised that Leake Street will be partially closed from 6am to 10am.

Drivers are asked to please exercise caution in the March’s vicinity and obey all road signage and crew directions during this time.
