Published on Friday, 27 March 2020 at 11:22:30 AM

Amendments to the Local Government (Administration) Regulations 1996 were passed by Parliament on 25 March 2020 and came into force on 26 March 2020. The amendments mean local governments can hold electronic Council and Committee meetings during a public health emergency.

The Town of Port Hedland wishes to advise that until further notice, Council meetings will no longer be open to community members.

Council meetings will continue to be livestreamed via the Town’s Facebook page and community members are welcome to join these meetings by accessing the following link:    https://www.facebook.com/townofporthedland/.

If you have any public questions or statements, please email them prior to the meeting through to council@porthedland.wa.gov.au. A maximum of three questions are permitted. Please note that all questions and statements will be read out and acknowledged by the Commissioner.

The agenda will be available prior to the meeting on the Town’s website at www.porthedland.wa.gov.au. For further enquiries, please contact Governance on 08 9158 9300.
