Creature Corner
Bring the little ones to Creature Corner for an up-close experience with reptiles, birds, and a range of farm animals - from fluffy bunnies and gentle lambs to curious goats and charismatic turkeys!

ACCESSIBILITY
This event is accessible for attendees in wheelchairs or those using prams. The venue has accessible toilets with baby changing tables, parking facilities and an accessible viewing area at the Main Stage and The Bubble Canteen.
Assisted listening devices are available for most of the entertainment occurring on the Main Stage and The Bubble Canteen performances on Saturday morning and afternoon. Devices can be requested from the Information Desk.
A Quiet Zone will be available throughout the event, which is free for community members to utilise, this will include sensory activities and headphones.
New in 2026, Quiet Hour will be held from 11:00am – 12 noon on Saturday, 26 July. An initiative designed to reduce sensory stress for attendees, creating a more welcoming carnival experience for community members. Developed in consultation with Hedland Access and Inclusion Action Group, Quiet Hour will include:
· No flashing lights and reduced lighting
· Reduced or no onsite music
· Stopping all PA announcements (excluding emergencies)
· Introduction of rest spots throughout the site

ATM FACILITIES
Vendors are encouraged to provide cash and card payment methods. There are no ATM/cash out facilities available at the event. In the case attendees require cash, the closest ATM is located at the Port Hedland Boulevard Shopping Centre on the corner of McGregor and Wilson Street.
PETS
Please keep your pets at home, unfortunately pets will not be allowed to enter the event, except for service animals.
PARKING
Due to limited onsite parking, attendees are encouraged to carpool where possible and utilise ride share services. Pick-up/drop-off zone is in the Main Parking Zone.
MAIN PARKING
The Main Parking Zone for the event is located within the Town Oval, with access off McGregor Street near the Port Hedland Skate Park. Please follow onsite signage and instructions from traffic staff to navigate to main parking.
OVERFLOW PARKING
Limited overflow parking is available at Milpaku Kuma – Port Hedland Community Centre. Please use the dedicated pedestrian walkway when entering Town Oval from the overflow parking.
NO ACCESS FROM PORT HEDLAND BOULEVARD
Please note, there is no event parking or pedestrian access available near Port Hedland Boulevard.

TOILETS
Toilets, including accessible are located opposite the Main Stage and in Sideshow Alley. Please refer to the Event Map for locations.
FOOD & DRINKS
The event will include an array of local and visiting food and beverage vendors which will be trading throughout the event (unless sold out).
You can bring your own food however, no glass bottles or containers please. Please note this is a non-BYO event however there will be a Licensed Bar operating onsite near the Stage.
Free drinking water is available for event attendees via a water station. The water station features bubblers, as well as bottle refill taps, so don’t forget to BYO reuseable water bottles. Please refer to the Event Map for location of the water station.
NO SMOKING EVENT
Event attendees are reminded that Spinifex Spree Carnival is a smoke free event, except for in the Smoking Area. Please refer to the Event Map for the location.
SEATING
A limited number of tables and chairs will be available at the event. Attendees planning on staying at the event for a long duration of time are encouraged to bring their own camp chairs/picnic rugs.
SHADE
Shade will be provided in Eat Street and at the Fireworks Viewing Area. If you are attending the event during daylight hours, remember to slip on a long-sleeved shirt, slop on sunscreen, slap on a hat, seek shade, slide on sunglasses and ensure you drink plenty of water.
FIREWORKS
The fireworks display will commence at 8:00pm on Saturday, 25 July. Pet owners are advised to keep their pets indoors during this time if possible.
The unexpected noise and bright lights that fireworks produce can cause animal distress. We advise all community members to keep an eye on your pets during the display. Here are some helpful tips for managing your pets:
· Ensure your pets have exercised and been fed before the display
· Keep your pets indoors if possible
· Distract your pets with games/ food
· Ensure your pets are microchipped in case they run off
KEEP PORT HEDLAND BEAUTIFUL
Let’s ‘Do the right thing’ at the Town Oval and surrounds. Please dispose of your litter in the appropriate bins or Containers for Change receptables provided onsite. Funds from containers will be donated to Care for Hedland.
VENUE IMPACTS - DUMP POINT FACILITIES
The Dump Point at Jim Caffey Hall, located off McGregor Street in Port Hedland, will be temporarily closed from Thursday, 23 July reopening Tuesday 28 July 2026. An alternative dump point is available at the Spoilbank Marina, located on Sutherland Street in Port Hedland.
