The Town of Port Hedland will undertake maintenance and improvement works on Yandeyarra Road in the coming weeks.
Works will include:
- Repairing existing concrete floodway pavements
- Building new concrete floodway pavements
- De-silting and the re-establishment of drains and gutters
- Constructing new drainage culverts
- Repairing and stabilising scoured road sections
- General maintenance grading of the surface to improve road smoothness
These works will improve road usability, particularly during occurrences of increased rainfall.
The project is due for completion in mid to late November.
Prime mover trucks and earthmoving plant equipment will be utilised on Yandeyarra Road during this period.
Road users are advised to exercise caution during this period. Please obey all signage and directions from works crew members.
