A new fully-accessible toilet block will be built at Yikara Park, widely-known in the community as Pirate Park, with work beginning shortly.
The much-anticipated facility will be finished early next year and will also contain a baby change station and external hand basin.
The building will be located on the north side of the park just outside of the park perimeter.
MWJ contractors have been engaged by the Town of Port Hedland to undertake the work.
