The annual Welcome to Hedland Community Expo kicks off this Friday, 10 May from 5pm to 8pm at South Hedland Town Square.
Please be advised of partial road closures in place on Wise Terrace, McLarty Boulevard, Rason Link and Leake Street from 6am to 10pm this Friday (figure 1).
Access to South Hedland Square car park will remain available throughout the day.
The evening’s entertainment program features a diverse selection of community groups and performers to enjoy:
5.00pm Welcome to Country / Official Opening
5.10pm Hedland School of Dance
5.30pm Hedland Taekwondo Club
5.45pm JaBaT Dance Inc/
6.05pm Wizard of Odd
6.25pm Inspire Nurture Dance Academy Interactive Dance Lesson
6.45pm Hedland Indonesian Community
7.15pm Hedland Senior High School Concert Band
7.35pm Hedland’s Got Talent - Iloa Vailala
7.45pm Lachy John
There will also be a scavenger hunt map available from the Town of Port Hedland stall, where you will have the opportunity to discover community groups and go into the draw to win prizes.
