Upcoming works to the South Hedland taxi rank on Wise Terrace, South Hedland will improve usability and safety.
Works will commence on Monday 14 January for a period of one week.
Works will improve pedestrian and driver safety by relocating the bus stop to ensure it is no longer located in the designated taxi zone: the bus stop will be moved 40 metres further along Wise Terrace.
The subsidence issues causing sunken pavers in the taxi rank will also be addressed.
Please be advised that caution will be taken by the Town of Port Hedland and Contractors to minimise the works’ impact to the community.
Please exercise caution around these areas during these dates by driving safely, abiding by signage and following all directions from works crews.
