Teddy Bears Picnic Back for 2018

Published on Tuesday, 18 September 2018 at 11:31:47 AM

A morning of community fun and frivolity is coming this October, as the Teddy Bears Picnic brings Hedland together for another year.

Sponsored by Horizon Power, the event will be held from 9am-11am on Thursday, 18 October at Marquee Park in South Hedland.

There will be outside rhymetime and storytime sessions, face painting, a teddy bear march and plenty of children’s activities to keep the whole family entertained.

The activities are designed for families with children aged 0-5, however everyone is welcome to attend and the event is accessible for all abilities.

Mayor Camilo Blanco said the event was the prime opportunity to enjoy the warm spring weather and have a fun morning out.

“I’m pleased this popular event is back for another year, with a number of community members and groups saving the date and looking forward to attending.

“Marquee Park is a great community spot to host the event, with plenty of planned children’s activities to enjoy.

“I’d encourage everyone who attends to bring their own rugs, water bottles, hats and snacks.

“I hope as many people from across Hedland can attend to make this year’s Teddy Bears Picnic the biggest one yet!”
