The Award winning, multi-platinum selling Amy Shark will be this year’s headline act at the 2019 North West Festival, the Pilbara’s premier music event.

The Festival will be held at Port Hedland’s Civic Centre Gardens on Saturday 24 August for ages 18+, followed by the family friendly Sundowner on Sunday 25 August.

Amy is the acclaimed Australian artist of recent years, crafting the ubiquitous radio anthems Adore, I Said Hi and All Loved Up.

Joining Amy will be barrier breaking Baker Boy, electro-pop legends The Potbelleez and the genre smashing renegades Redhook.

These artists will be supported by local Pilbara artists, showcasing the rich creativity and musicality the region is known for.

Mayor Camilo Blanco commended this year’s line-up, saying it solidified the event as one the most anticipated music festivals in Northern Australia.

“Once again, a stellar line up of world class talent has been secured for the North West Festival in the picturesque Civic Centre Gardens.

“Amy has toured internationally, spearheading Australian music into the US market and championing the cause of spotlighting local talent.

“Baker Boy celebrates his Aboriginal identity in every performance, proudly bringing his Yurrwi and Maningrida culture to stages right across Australia.

“The Potbelleez are synonymous with electro-dance floor fillers, driving and evolving the Australian dance scene for over 15 years.

“I’m pleased the Sundowner event has returned this year, giving all ages the chance to enjoy the music in family friendly surrounds featuring food, stalls and roving performers.

“Tickets go on sale 7am AWST Friday 21 June, so tell your friends and family about this fantastic live event coming up in August.”
