Pre- Cyclone Green Waste Collection Campaign Complete

Published on Monday, 21 October 2019 at 4:34:22 PM

The Town of Port Hedland’s annual green waste collection service has wrapped up for 2019.

In total, 280 tonnes of green waste was picked up from the verge, the equivalent of 215 truckloads.

The Town of Port Hedland thanks residents, businesses and local organisations for participating in the campaign, which will improve community safety by reducing the potential for green waste to become flying debris hazards during cyclonic weather events.

Please be advised that any remaining green waste left on the verge will need to be taken to the landfill by the property’s tenants or ratepayers.

It is free to dispose of green waste at the landfill.

If you have any questions, please contact 9158 9701.
