The Town of Port Hedland will host its annual Spinifex Spree Carnival on Friday 26 July and Saturday 27 July at the Town Oval, located at the Port Hedland Turf Club.
A performance by X Factor winner Reece Mastin, rides, a foam party, petting zoo, roving performers, market stalls, and a spectacular fireworks display are some of the exciting things on offer at this year's event.
Town of Port Hedland's CEO David Pentz is encouraging the whole community to attend one of the largest social and community events on the Town's calendar.
"The Spinifex Spree is a regional 'royal-show' experience and includes all the entertainment options patrons look forward to in a carnival", said Mr Pentz.
"It is a great day out for the family with lots of kids programs planned across the two days. Families can enjoy a huge variety of amusement rides, games, and main stage entertainment".
Reece Mastin will take to the stage on Saturday night at 6.50pm, and a variety of roving performers will be featured over the two days. Community members will also have the opportunity to visit over 80 market stalls, ranging from food and beverage vans to locally made craft and jewellery stalls.
The event will close on Saturday evening with patrons being greeted to a spectacular display of fireworks.
"Pet owners are also reminded to take extra precaution on Saturday evening with fireworks scheduled for 8 pm and to be aware that loud bangs, shouts and flashing lights can be terrifying for our beloved pets," said Mr Pentz.
Spinifex Spree runs from 5 pm – 9 pm on Friday 26 July and 11 am – 9 pm on Saturday 27 July.
