The Town of Port Hedland Libraries are reminding local residents of the availability of books and digital resources that are produced in Languages Other Than English (LOTE).
South Hedland Library offers bilingual picture books for young children, which parents and guardians can read in their home language.
For adults, South Hedland Library has a collection of LOTE books in over 30 different languages, including Chinese, Korean, Filipino/Tagalog, Indonesian, Thai, Afrikaans and Malay. If your home language is not currently featured in the Libraries’ collection, staff can request items from external sources.
