Published on Monday, 1 July 2019 at 3:00:31 PM

Award winning Perth based magician and entertainer, Pierre Ulric, is coming to the Matt Dann Theatre and Cinema these school holidays.

Recipient of the 2018 West Australian Magician of the Year Award, Pierre will both uncover the deepest secrets of the magic trade and perform an eccentric, scientific extravaganza.

On Tuesday 16 July 7.30pm, Pierre’s Confessions of a Magician combines the best magic tricks in the business with a dazzling array of visual spectacle to delight and inspire.

On Wednesday 17 July 1.30pm, Pierre will swap the wand for the lab coat and become the mad scientist in Wacky Magic & Mad Science, a family friendly performance which brings educational science into the realm of magic and illusion.

These shows have been met with critical acclaim, with Pierre being described as “A master of his craft” by the Australia Times and his shows “done with such style and flair you can’t help but smile and clap” by The Fourth Wall.

Mayor Camilo Blanco said Pierre’s high calibre of live performance delivery gave families across Hedland fantastic entertainment options these school holidays.

“The Matt Dann Theatre and Cinema has a track record of providing a diverse roster of live entertainment in Hedland, and these school holidays are no exception.

“The Tuesday show is perfect for teenagers and adults, taking audiences behind the curtain and granting them access to uncover what magic tricks are really made of.

“The Wednesday show brings the science lab into the theatre, showing kids that science can be fun, educational and creative all at the same time.

“School holiday shows sell quickly, so if you’d like to attend, I encourage you to buy tickets before they sell out.”
