Pre Cyclone Season Green Waste Clean Up 2019
Past Event
Be Prepared for Cyclone Season!
Secure your property with the Town's annual green waste clean up - commencing Tuesday 1 October
The Town of Port Hedland will be commencing an annual free green waste collection from Tuesday 1 October, giving community members the opportunity to spring clean their yards and gardens and have their green waste collected. It is important that we minimise the risk of flying debris during a cyclonic weather event.
Make sure all green waste - including tree loppings, palm fronds, branches, leaves, grass clippings and weeds - are neatly stacked on the verge, no longer than 2 metres in length and does not cause any obstruction to roads, pathways and building infrastructure.
Please do not include any other waste in your pile, such as white goods, batteries, gas bottles or other flammable objects.
Works and Services Crews will accept the following items:
- Tree Loppings
- Grass Clippings
- Palm Fronds
- Leaves
- Weeds
Works and Services Crews will NOT accept the following items:
- White Goods
- Batteries
- Flammable Objects
- Commercial Waste
