Please note that vehicle access on Spoilbank Beach will have limited access from Tuesday 12 December until further notice.
The closure comes after several turtle tracks have been observed close to Spoilbank Road which, while uncommon, means The Town has a responsibility to do everything we can to protect our Flatback turtle friends.
The portion of Spoilbank stretching from the Sailing Club sea containers to Cemetery Beach will be closed off from access via vehicle.
We apologise for the inconvenience; however, we urge people to do the right thing and not drive on Spoilbank Beach while it is closed.
