Earlier this year, Hedland Libraries and the regular OWLS group (Older Wiser Library Seniors) launched a book called ‘Hedlander Memories’.
The stories were recorded over many years (and over many cups of tea!) with the intention of capturing the community spirit that is so strong here in Hedland.
The result of gathering these stories and reflections has created a tapestry of Hedland's collective heritage, and a meaningful keepsake to share with family and friends.
There are still a few copies left!
The books are available to purchase for $20.00 from either Port or South Library, as well as the Visitors Centre, with all proceeds going back into the OWLS fund for future years.
