2021/22 Road Renewal Program

Published on Wednesday, 8 June 2022 at 2:19:35 PM

The Town has started the annual asphalt reseal, line marking and footpath renewal program throughout Port and South Hedland.

Works will improve the condition of the roadway to provide better rideability, extend the life of assets and improve drainage.

Profiling works will precede asphalting, whilst line marking will follow resealing.

Mayor Peter Carter welcomed the start of the Town’s works.

“We’re committed to building better roads, which contribute to Hedland’s livability and local economy."

“With so much construction activity happening around town and a growing population, it’s vital our infrastructure assets are maintained to a high standard.” Please see below for the streets and areas planned for asphalting works:

The Town requests that no vehicles, caravans or trailers be parked on the road or in the car parks at any of these reseal locations on the above dates.
