The Town of Port Hedland, in partnership with Water Corporation, supports the safe and efficient management of local water supply, sewerage, and stormwater systems.

Water Supply

The Water Corporation is responsible for the reticulated water system in Port Hedland, South Hedland, Wedgefield, and Finucane Island.

To report water faults or outages, contact Water Corporation’s 24/7 Faults & Emergencies team at 13 13 75.

Sewerage

Water Corporation also manages the reticulated sewer system for most residential areas in Port and South Hedland. Under the Health (Miscellaneous Provisions) Act 1911, properties within 91 metres of a public sewer line are generally required to connect.

Drainage

The Town maintains local stormwater and drainage systems to protect the community from flooding and water damage. Regular inspections and upgrades help ensure stormwater flows effectively and safely.
