Swimming Pools

All private swimming pools and spas—whether above or below ground—require a Building Permit before installation. Applications must include a detailed site plan showing the pool and its safety barrier, along with structural engineering certification. A compliant safety barrier is mandatory and must meet all relevant legislation, including the Building Regulations 2012 and Australian Standards.
