A brand new, large, LED sign is being installed at the South Hedland Town Centre, marking a significant step forward in how the Town communicates with our community during emergencies.
The LED display is designed to replace the ageing cyclone signage, and will play a key role in keeping residents informed during severe weather events such as cyclones.
With its prominent location and clear digital display, the sign ensures that crucial updates can be shared quickly and effectively.
However, the benefits don’t stop at emergencies. The LED screen will also support broader communications, including promoting community events or other important information - depending on the Town’s communication needs.
Built to be impact-proof, the sign is designed to stand up to the elements and serve our community well into the future. A similar LED sign is planned for Port, further strengthening our communication capability across the region.
This investment reflects our commitment to timely, reliable and accessible information for all.
