What do libraries mean to you? We want to uncover your thoughts to inform the development of the Town's 2020 Library Strategy. The Strategy will serve as a blueprint for the future direction of the Port Hedland Libraries over the next five years. Would you like to see more investment in digital services, or perhaps greater program diversity? Now is your chance to have a say!

Why do we need a Strategy?

With projected strong population growth in the Hedland Local Government Area and record public infrastructure investment planned as part of the Hedland Recreation Hubs Masterplans, the Town is committed to delivering a high standard of library services to meet increased community demand into the future. Having a well informed, comprehensive Library Strategy provides the Town's Executive Team, Elected Members and community members with a shared roadmap for decision making.

What community consultation is happening?

To inform the development of the Strategy, the Town will be conducting diverse face to face consultations to gather key insights. The Town will also be running an online survey to give local residents the chance to have a say. The community consultation will conclude on Friday 6 November.
