Along with presiding over the final Ordinary Council Meeting of the year, the Town’s Commissioners took the opportunity to connect with many other community members last week.
The Commissioner’s focus is to steady the ship, to actively engage with the community and represent your interests and to rebuild confidence in local government ahead of the election scheduled for 28 March next year.
As well as hosting a sundowner event for the Town’s funding partners and stakeholders, Commissioners also took the opportunity to chat with the Town’s staff at their end of year meeting and host a coffee catch-up with the community at the JD Hardie Youth and Community Centre.
What’s the overarching feedback the Commissioners have received? The community wants to see progress, and stable, community-focused leadership for Hedland.
