Bringing Wise Terrace to Life (Closed)

Bringing Wise Terrace to Life – activation of the South Hedland Place Plan

Over August and September the Town of Port Hedland trialled some ideas for how space in South Hedland could be used differently. This is all part of the South Hedland Place Plan that aims to breathe new life into South Hedland and make it a place people want to congregate in and enjoy.

The second priority project in the Place Plan is focused on Wise Terrace. The Town kicked off this project by trialling a road closure to increase pedestrianisation and bringing temporary furniture and other activity into the space to see what worked, and what didn’t.

We want to hear from the community about their experiences of this activation while we look towards designing what permanent changes can be made, including permanent furniture. The activation over August and September was focused on being low-cost to test some of our initial thinking. Now’s the time to tell us what you think so we can incorporate this feedback into the design of final changes.
