Your business has the opportunity to work on the Spoilbank Marina

The Town welcomes the McGowan Government’s launch of the Pilbara business register, which will put local businesses front-and-centre in upcoming Spoilbank Marina works.

The $121.5 million Marina is set to create over 200 direct construction jobs during its two year build period, with early site works set to begin in October 2020.

The register of Pilbara businesses will be provided to prospective lead contractors to fast-track engagement of local workers and material suppliers.

Features of the Spoilbank Marina development include:

• A four-lane boat ramp;
• 21 boat-pen marina with capacity to expand to 80 pens in the future;
• Separate entrance channel to the main shipping channel;
• Trailer parking for up to 200 vehicles;
• Maintenance hardstand;
• Publicly accessible breakwaters with pedestrian path;
• Public recreation and event space and public amenities;
• Public fishing jetty;
• Water feature;
• Shade structures at swimming beach;
• Waterfront promenade to reflect the Yintha Kariyarra creation serpent story; and
• Public art and a cultural gathering space
