A huge thank you to everyone involved and to our community for bringing the vibes, the energy, and making it a night to remember! 🎉

Image: 💛 Youth Week WA 2026 | 10–16 April

Last week, the Hedland community celebrated Youth Week, a fantastic celebration of young people and the important role they play in our community.

As WA’s largest annual youth celebration, the week created space for young people to share ideas, raise issues that matter to them, showcase their talents and connect with others.

From creative activities and live events to sport, film and fun, it was inspiring to see young people come together, build confidence and be celebrated for their contributions.

A huge thank you to our young people, our stakeholders, partners, facilitators, supporters and staff whose collaboration made the week possible.

These photos share just a glimpse of a week filled with creativity, connection and pride. Supporting and celebrating young people is something we’re proud to do all year round.

Thank you to the Major Partner Fortescue and sponsor Horizon Power.

Thank you to all the supporters: JD Hardie Youth and Community Hub, Port Hedland Leisure, Matt Dann Theatre & Cinema, Youth Advisory Council, Mission Australia, headspace Pilbara, Relationships Australia WA, Royal Life Saving Society WA, St John Ambulance, Wirraka Maya Health Service Aboriginal Corporation, TOPH Events & Arts & Cultural Team and all who supported events across the week.
