Temporary Closure of RV Overflow Waste Dump Point Information:
Please be advised the RV Overflow waste dump point (figure 1), located off McGregor Street in Port Hedland will be temporarily closed from 1.00pm Saturday 24 August, reopening on Monday 26 August 2019.
An alternative dump point (figure 2) is available at the South Hedland Landfill, located on North Circular Road in South Hedland. The facility is open from 8.00am - 3.45pm on Saturday but is closed on Sunday. Please do not take caravans into the facility. In addition, the closest dump point if heading north is De Grey River and if heading south it is Yule River.
Traffic Management in place on McGregor Street / parking information:
Please be advised that traffic management (including a 40km/hour speed limit) will be in place along McGregor Street on Saturday 24 August (3.00pm – 1.00am) – Sunday 25 August 2019 (2.00pm – 10.00pm).
Accessible parking for the event is located at the Civic Centre, all other patrons requiring parking for the event will need to enter through the main Turf Club entrance and follow instructions from parking attendants. When departing the event, patrons will be directed to the exit near the Port Hedland Skate Park.
One way traffic will be in place at all times and also applies to vehicles accessing the RV Overflow.
