The Town of Port Hedland Australia Day Celebrations are on track to take place in South Hedland this Sunday at South Hedland Aquatic Centre and Kevin Scott Oval.
The BHP Community Pool Party will take place from 2:00pm – 6:00pm at South Hedland Aquatic Centre. There will be a free BBQ, face painter and a range of activities throughout the day to keep everyone entertained. For more information please head to the Town’s website.
Attendees: please be reminded that children under the age of ten years must be supervised by a person sixteen years of age or older and children under the age of five years must be within arm’s length of a person sixteen years of age or older at all times.
Upon completion of the Pool Party, we invite the community to Kevin Scott Oval for the Pilbara Ports Authority Fireworks Spectacular. Food vans and live music from Bella Blakemore will begin from 6:30pm with the fireworks display beginning at 8:00pm.

Marie Marland Reserve will be closed off from the public from 8:00am Saturday 25 January – 5:00pm Monday 27 January.
The following road closures will be in place 6:00pm – 9:00pm on Sunday 26 January:
- Partial closure of parking area on the Eastern side of Kevin Scott Oval
- Entrance road off Hudson Way to Marie Marland Reserve Northern parking area
- Entrance road off Hudson Way to Finucane Island Club
- Entrance road off Parola Court to Marie Marland Reserve
- South Eastern parking area off Parola Court at Marie Marland Reserve
