The Town of Port Hedland Presents the Sunset Food Markets
The Sunset Markets are a new initiative launched by the Town or Port Hedland, kicking off at Port Hedland's Marapikurrinya Park on Friday 13 September. The format provides small food businesses with the opportunity to trade, and gives Hedland families the chance to relax and unwind in the picturesque port side park under the Pilbara sky. The Sunset Markets celebrate and showcase Hedland's diverse food scene, with a number of global cultures and flavours converging in one central location. Inspired by events in similar coastal towns, the Sunset Food Markets will be a regular occurrence on the events calendar. Below are the confirmed dates for 2019 and 2020 - we hope you can come along!

“With a unique port backdrop and bespoke food vendors, the Sunset Food Markets will be an event to suit even the most discerning of tastes,
“We have endeavored to source food vendors whose diversity and talent showcase the best of our local food culture, providing a new trading place for small businesses.
“Complementing the food will be local live musicians, demonstrating the Town’s commitment to supporting and showcasing Hedland’s local music scene.
“Highlights of the refurbished park include improved accessibility, refined landscaping, better seating and more open space for people."

The Sunset Food Markets will run on the following dates in 2019 and 2020:

Where are the Sunset Food Markets?
The Sunset Food Markets will be run at Port Hedland's Marapikurrinya Park, located at 4 Richardson St.
How much does it cost to attend?
Entry to the Sunset Food Markets is free, however the cost of food and drinks is determined by food vendor operators.
Will there be something other than food?
Yes, there will be live music for attendees to enjoy and kids' activities. It is yet to be determined if community group or fundraising stalls will be added at future events.
