The Town of Port Hedland was proud to partner in yesterday’s Port Hedland Chamber of Commerce and Industry’s Hedland Economic Forum, an event that brought together key stakeholders to explore opportunities for economic growth and diversification in our region.

As part of a Q&A panel, Lee Furness (Director Infrastructure Services) and Kylie Davies (Director Regulatory Services) highlighted the Town’s role in enabling development through strategic infrastructure planning and regulatory frameworks that support investment and innovation.

Commissioner Jessica Shaw addressed attendees, outlining the Commissioners’ commitment to fostering economic development and advocating for community involvement. She encouraged residents to consider nominating for Council in the upcoming special local government election in March 2026, reinforcing the importance of local leadership in shaping Hedland’s future.

The Town remains committed to working collaboratively with industry, government, and the community to ensure Hedland continues to thrive as a regional powerhouse.
