Gratwick Aquatic Centre will unfortunately not be reopening tomorrow as originally planned.
During final safety checks last week, our team identified an unexpected equipment fault that must be resolved before we can safely welcome the community back.
While we had hoped the replacement parts would arrive in time, they are now expected early next week.
Once the repairs are completed and thoroughly tested, we’ll provide an update on the reopening date.
We understand this news will be disappointing, especially with the warmer weather approaching, and we sincerely appreciate the community’s patience and understanding as we prioritise safety.
In the meantime, we encourage the use of the facilities at South Hedland Aquatic Centre which will be providing free entry for all children under 12 from tomorrow till Sunday, 19 April 2026.
