The Town of Port Hedland has requested that Main Roads Western Australia demolish the truck ramp located on Wilson Street, Port Hedland, as a result of independently assessed high risks to public safety.
The demolition of the ramp will take place over two days and will commence on the 2nd of June.
This project has been identified by the Town of Port Hedland in response to the inherent risk associated with the non-compliant truck loading ramp and the lack of both a turning and acceleration lane off of Wilson Street
Once the works are completed access to the area will be blocked permanently.
The ramp is located on Unallocated Crown Land, under the jurisdiction of the WA Government.
