North West Festival

Boy & Bear, Spiderbait and Vera Blue are the key acts set to take the stage for this year’s North West Festival.

The three internationally acclaimed bands will be joined by a range of local artists on the day. This year’s festival is open to all ages and will be located at the Civic Centre Gardens in Port Hedland.

Town of Port Hedland Mayor Camilo Blanco said that with the support of Major Sponsor BHP the Town is excited to be bringing the event back for another year.

“North West Festival is one of the biggest events in the Pilbara region, and it is an honour that we can come together and deliver a weekend that truly delivers on our vision for a vibrant North West community”, he said.

“Although this year’s festival is going to be a smaller event, we are pleased to be able to maintain the high quality of artists that the North West Festival has become known for. Community members will also be happy to see that we have made the festival much more accessible this year, with ticket prices set at $10 an adult. The proceeds raised through ticket sales will go towards our Community Funding and Donations Scheme” Mayor Blanco said.

“The new location will offer the amazing view that Port Hedland is known for, and will allow for the event to have a different feel this year,”

The much loved, family friendly event, the North West Sundowner, will also return to the Port Hedland Yacht Club. This event is presented by the Fortescue Metals Group and will feature a series of kid’s activities and performances, which will be announced in the coming weeks.
