Camilo Blanco Elected as Town of Port Hedland Mayor

Camilo Blanco has been re-elected Mayor of the Town of Port Hedland in the Local Government Election.

Town of Port Hedland CEO David Pentz has congratulated Mr. Blanco on his election win. 

“On behalf of the Town of Port Hedland, I would like to commend Mr. Blanco on being re-elected as Mayor”, he said.

“Camilo is a long-term resident of Port Hedland and brings a diverse range of experience with him.  Together, we will continue building upon our progressive plans and projects to create lasting change for people who live, work and visit our town”.

Five Councillors have also been elected in today’s Election. These Councillors are:

* Telona Pitt

* Peter Carter

* Warren McDonogh

* George Daccache

* Tricia Hebbard

These Councillors will join Mayor Blanco and Councillors Julie Arif, Louise Newberry and Richard Whitwell to form the Town of Port Hedland Council.

“I would like to congratulate all of the newly elected representatives’, said Town of Port Hedland CEO David Pentz.

“We are looking forward to working with the Councillors to achieve great things for our communities and this region,” he said.

“I would also like to thank our outgoing Councillors who have served the community with passion and dedication.”

The Mayor and new Councillors will be sworn in at a Ceremony in the Council Chambers on Monday 23rd October at 5.30pm. All community members are invited to attend.
