Baby Rhyme Time Coming to the Libraries

Published on Monday, 24 September 2018 at 4:40:06 PM

A new, free library initiative is coming to South Hedland Library, designed to encourage bonding and social engagement through rhymes.

Baby Rhymetime will be kicking off on Tuesday, 9 October at 10AM at South Hedland Library and will run from every week until 11 December.

There will be rhymes and storytelling for parents and their young children, aimed at ages 0-2 years.

It is an opportunity for parents to network, share their experiences and introduce their children to new forms of learning and development.

Mayor Camilo Blanco said the initiative was an important program on the Hedland calendar.

“Engaging children at a young age with social activities aids in their learning and development.

“I’m pleased that South Hedland Library is extending their suite of programs to include infants and their parents.

“I hope as many people as possible get the chance to come along to a session and have a great morning out.”
