Port Hedland marked Youth week from the 13th - 22nd of April, 2018. Events included skateboarding workshops, hip hop dancing, basketball, a movie night, a basketball competition and a pool party, plus food and information stalls.

Special guest attendees included Jack "Deadly Ninja" Wilson, Indigenous Hip Hop Projects, Rapper Baker Boy and professional basketball player Ricky Grace.

The Town held the event to celebrate the contributions of young people aged 12 to 25 in the Hedland Community, highlighting the potential, talent, creativity and ambition of local youth. The 2018 theme was "light it up," a motivating call to action for young people to believe in themselves and chase their dreams.

We would like to thank Port Hedland Youth Week's major sponsor, BHP, as well as all program partners for making the week's events run smoothly and efficiently.
