Welcome to your library. Our friendly staff members will ensure that you enjoy your visit.
Please feel free to ask for assistance and make use of as many of our services as possible.

Joining the Library

  • Membership is free
  • Proof of your current residential address in Port Hedland address is required
  • Details of second contact - someone who does not reside at the same address as you
  • Parent/Guardian consent for those under 18 years of age
  • If you are a visitor, temporary membership is available

Membership Responsibilities

Borrowing

  • Adults can borrow 10 items including 4 music CD’s or DVD’s or combination of both
  • Juniors (up to 13 years) can borrow 6 items
  • Young adults (13 and over) can borrow 8 items including 2 music CD’s or DVD’s or combination of both
  • Loan period is 3 weeks
  • Items may be renewed twice unless reserved by another borrower. Items can be renewed in person, by phone or email
  • Please bring your Membership Card each time you would like to borrow or reserve an item

Requests and Inter Library Loans

  • If an item in our collection is on loan we can reserve it for you
  • If we don’t have the item or information you want, please ask, and we will try to get it for you from other public libraries in Western Australia., via Inter Library Loan

  • A4 and a3 Black and colour copying available

Public Use Computers

  • Bookings are required for a maximum of 1 hour per day
  • C’s can be used for producing documents and viewing CD Rom’s
  • *It is recommended that you bring a USB/Flash drive to save your work
  • Internet Access is free of charge - Printing at photocopy rates

Australia/New Zealand Reference Centre

Content from international newspapers, magazines and reference books including many Australian and New Zealand titles, covering current events, business, sport, entertainment and much more.

Business Source Elite

Full text coverage from scholarly business management and economic journals, including peer-reviewed publications. Included in this database, are company profiles and industry reports from Datamonitor.

Intrepica

A high-quality play-based literacy resource with more than 10,000 activities online for children of all ages and ability. Children and parents can select from activities focusing on pre-reading skills, phonics, reading, spelling, vocabulary, grammar and comprehension in a fun, exciting and safe online environment.
