The Town of Port Hedland acknowledges and respects the traditional custodians, the Kariyarra, Ngarla and Nyamal people.

We acknowledge their connection to their lands, sea and waterways.

The importance of their heritage and culture, as knowledge holders in this community of Port Hedland.

We pay respects to their past, present and emerging leaders.

We are seeking an original design with the Town’s colour palette in mind, which will be applied to new Town of Port Hedland uniforms for employees to proudly wear in the community.

This Expression of Interest gives the opportunity for Kariyarra, Ngarla and Nyamal people to create artwork that represents their connection to Port Hedland and its surrounding areas.
