Upcoming tree pruning in public spaces for a safer cyclone season

Published on Monday, 29 November 2021 at 8:23:52 AM

Please be advised that tree pruning will be undertaken across the local government area from early to mid December 2021.

Identified trees which pose a safety risk to the public will be assessed by Town the arborists and recommendations will determine the required works to be carried out on these trees.

Other works will include general tree maintenance and the removal of coconuts.

These works will make cyclone season safer by minimising the risk of flying debris in public spaces.

Works will be carried out in both Port and South Hedland.

Please be mindful of workers, signage and machinery during this time.
