Up to $10,000 up for Grabs for Community Collaboration

Published on Tuesday, 1 October 2019 at 12:23:43 PM

Applications for a new $10,000 Community Collaboration Grant opens today following information sessions that were held last week.

Closing on Thursday 31 October, the grant aims to support groups working together on community focused projects. Collaboration among two or more organisations is a key feature of this grant.

Hon. Commissioner Fred Riebeling encouraged interested community organisations, groups and clubs to apply via the Town of Port Hedland’s Smartygrants portal.

“The Community Collaboration Grant encourages local organisations to work together to deliver positive outcomes for Hedland.

“We would like to see organisations forge unexpected partnerships, identifying and addressing gaps around service provision in the community.

“We’re looking for applications which promote cultural understanding and community education.

“Grant funds may cover a variety of costs, including equipment, venue hire, communications costs, travel costs and more.

“I encourage all interested groups to apply for the Community Collaboration Grant before the Thursday 31 October deadline.”

Community Collaboration Grant applications along with the eligibility criteria, can be viewed on the TOPH Smartygrants Portal. More information about the Community Grants Program can be found here.
