Applications for the Town’s Seed Funding Grant are now open, supporting newly established not-for-profit organisations in Hedland with up to $1,000.00.
This Grant’s objectives are to encourage services and participation in new civic and community activities and to build the capacity and resilience of newly established groups or organisations in need of extra support.
Organisations must be emerging not-for-profits addressing a need in Hedland, must not have received this Grant funding previously, must demonstrate they are newly established and must demonstrate a high level of self-help and membership involvement.
Items covered by the grant include telecommunications, equipment, accounting, marketing and IT requirements, governance, utilities and rates, room or office hire and business or strategic plans. Meals, staff and activities covered by other Town grant streams are not covered by this Grant.
Mayor Peter Carter encouraged newly established organisations to apply for the Grant.
“The Town’s Seed Funding Grant is designed to boost newly established not-for-profits in Hedland, helping you overcome the difficulties of getting your operations off the ground.
“Funds could be used to purchase digital advertising to get the work out about your organisation, or perhaps pay for the hire of a club room. This Grant covers a number of items, so I encourage eligible groups to apply.”
