Mayor Peter Carter encouraged local community groups to work together to make a positive difference within the community.

“I’m pleased the latest round of the Town’s Community Collaboration Grant has contributed nearly $40,000 to empower local organisations to deliver initiatives that make a real difference to the lives of local residents.

“The delivery of events which celebrate diversity, arts programs which increase participation, sports activities which improve fitness and expanding access to accessible play are just some of the benefits this last Grant round will achieve.

“The Town’s Strategic Community Plan 2018-2028 guides us in administering a grants program which delivers targeted funding to organisations reaching a broad cross section of the community.

“I look forward to seeing how this latest round of grant funding will make a positive difference to the recipients’ social impact.”
