A number of fun filled activities are planned for term 1 at South Hedland Library and the JD Hardie Youth Zone, serving as the perfect spaces for young people to learn and grow.
Baby Rhyme Time will run from 10am every Tuesday, a time when 0 to 2 year olds can bond with their parents and carers whilst listening to nursery rhymes.
Storytime will run from 10:30am every Thursday, giving young children the chance to hear stories in quiet and relaxing space.
At South Hedland Library, Lego Club will be running from 4pm to 5:30pm every Thursday. Children will have the opportunity to get busy building and make new friends.
Deadly Discovery backpacks are also available for loan. These backpacks celebrate Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander culture and stories, featuring a selection of books, games, songs, puppets and activities for 2 to 5 year olds. Each backpack is equivalent to one book loan.
At the JD Hardie Youth Zone, Kids Club for ages 0 to kindy will run from 8:30am to 11:30am, Monday to Friday. The cost is $7.70 per child of $13.50 for a family pass.
SLAM Basketball will run every second Friday from 5pm to 8pm at the JD Hardie Youth Zone basketball courts: under 12s require supervision.
